 Welcome to Fires At Midnight Fires at Midnight is an alternate universe forum-based role playing game based on J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter world. Our world takes place during the year 1997, when the main trio would be in their sixth year. In an attempt to secure his place of power, the Dark Lord sent one of his followers back in time to eliminate the Dumbledores, clearing the way for an uncontested rise to power. We welcome folks that are new to the HP world and RPGing in general. While the basic plot of this RP is based on the HP world, there have been many changes to the history, characters and Harry Potter universe. The following links will provide you with much of the information you need to get started with us. Dark Tower
On the banks of the Thames River stands what once was the Tower of London. After the Wizarding Coup d’Etat, the Dark Lord took control of the Tower of London and, after making some magical additions to the building, made it the new center for Magical Society.

Little Hangleton
This town had been a quaint small town in the days when the Dark Lord's muggle father and grandparents lived there. However, after their murders the town deteriorated. Over time, this town became one of the few relocation camps for detained Muggleborns, Muggles and other Outcast civilians.

Ottery St. Catchpole
This small market town in Southern England is a common social and economical gathering place for Outcasts, Resistance members and more tolerant civilians. Excluded from normal economics, this trade center is often one of the few places these groups can buy, sell or trade goods. While a more tolerant town, its streets are still patrolled by loyal followers of the Dark Lord.

Osea Island
This small island, in the mouth of the River Blackwater, is about 60 miles Northeast of London. After the Coup, this island was hidden and protected by powerful magic. This island has become home and respite for Resistance members and Outcasts hiding from the Dark Lord's followers.
